Detailed Itinerary
Morning: Historical Sites of the DMZ
- Departing from Hue, we ride up Highway 1 to Quang Tri town, located south of the DMZ.
- Our first stop is Long Hung Church, a historic battleground from 1972.
- Next, we visit the Doc Mieu base and Gio Linh cemetery before entering the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ).
- Then, you will see the Hien Luong Bridge, the Ben Hai River, and explore the DMZ museum.
Afternoon: Vinh Moc Tunnels and the Coastline
- After finishing with the historical sites, we head to the Vinh Moc Tunnels.
- Following a lunch break and a museum visit, you will venture down into the three-level tunnel system. Between 1966 and 1972, the US Army dropped over 9,000 tons of bombs in this area, prompting locals to build this network to survive below ground.
- In the afternoon, we drive along the stunning coastline and countryside, featuring rice paddies, farms, and magnificent ocean views. We can stop on and off for photos, a swim, or a stretch before dropping you off at your hotel in Hue around 3:30 to 4:00 PM.
